A rider has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being “thrown” from a motorbike during a collision with a car at Hervey Bay.

A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a car on Wednesday morning.
The crash happened about 7.30am on Hervey Bay-Maryborough Rd at Eli Waters.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said there had been reports of the man being thrown from the motorcycle during the crash.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man had been transported to Hervey Bay Hospital in a serious condition with pelvic and leg injuries.
