Man taken to Hervey Bay Hospital with head injuries after assault
A man has reportedly suffered a multiple injuries to his head after allegedly being assaulted in a Hervey Bay CBD carpark.

A man has reportedly suffered multiple head injuries in what has been described as an alleged “unprovoked attack” in a Hervey Bay CBD carpark.
Paramedics and police were called to the scene on Boat Harbour Drive, outside the National Australia Bank, about 1pm Friday.
Reports from the incident say it stopped traffic and several members of the public filmed it.
A QAS spokeswoman said paramedics transported one person to Hervey Bay Hospital following the incident, which happened about 1pm.
Comments made on social media from an anonymous account claimed the victim was their husband and thanked residents who came to his aid after the “unprovoked attack”.
They claimed the man’s injuries included a “bleed on the brain” and a “fracture on the bone to the ear that is open and bleeding”.
Police have been contacted for comment.
