The health of the sector is important for the region’s economy.

Between June of 2021 and June 2022, tourism and hospitality accounted for $404.6 million in sales on the Fraser Coast, according to 2021-22 data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

Those sales accounted for more than eight per cent of the $4.79 billion gross revenue product within the area across the same period.

There will be food for the body and for the soul, with The Steel Syndicate and DJ Andy V headlining the entertainment, and Cassidy Mackie one of the local artists to perform.

Fraser Coast Tours and Events manager Chelsea Larner-Simpson said the event would be “an opportunity to revel in the outdoors and come together as a community”.

Tickets cost $15 for adults and $8 for children aged 5-17 years with the event starting at 11am and concluding at 8pm.

Patrons are reminded that no BYO alcohol is allowed and people under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
