Elderly woman taken to hospital after fire at Pialba property

A woman in her late 70s has been sent to hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation caused by a fire at her Pialba property.

An elderly woman has been sent to hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation from a fire in Pialba on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to a Halcro St yesterday evening after reports of smoking coming out of a property.

The incident was attended by two fire rescue crews at approximately 5:55pm.

The fire is believed to have been cussed by an electrical fault in a appliance a Queensland Fire spokesman said.

The property suffered no structural damage.
