With Easter upon us, families across the region are planning how to spend their break.

From church services to much-loved annual events, there’s plenty to look forward to.

Shopping centres and supermarkets will close over the Easter period and times will change.

Here, we provide a list of opening times and let you know what is open over the holiday period.

  • Easter Saturday, 7am, Easter Family Fun Day at Torquay foreshore
  • Easter Markets, Saturday, Urangan Pier Markets, from 7am.
  • Woodgate Easter Fair, 7.30am-2pm Easter Monday
  • Poona Easter Festival, Saturday, 6.30am, Poona Community Hall.
  • Easter School Holiday Fun, Station Square Shopping Centre, 10am Wednesday and Thursday.

  • Burrum Heads Easter Fishing Competition, starting Good Friday, Burrum Heads Lions Park, entry $5-$30.

  • Stockland Hervey Bay – closed on Good Friday. Easter Saturday open from 10am to 4pm, Easter Sunday, 10am to 4pm, Easter Monday, 10am to 4pm.

  • IGA Fraser Shores – Open Good Friday, 7am to 8pm, Easter Saturday, open 7am to 8pm, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, 7am to 8pm.
