Work has begun on a new state-of-the-art pool club development at a Hervey Bay lifestyle resort.
Thyme Lifestyle Resort’s new pool club is the first of its kind for the Serenitas’ lifestyle resort brand.
Scheduled to open in 2024 at the over-50s lifestyle community, the club will feature a 25m swimming pool, spa, gym, fitness studio, tennis and pickleball court and alfresco entertaining space.
Serenitas head of development Dean Walker, Ivan Tuohy Constructions director Ivan Tuohy and Kirbo Contracting managing director Tim Kirchen turned the first sod on the project this week.
They were joined by homeowners from the Thyme Lifestyle Resort Hervey Bay community who will enjoy the new
facilities once it opens.

“Our vision was to create more than just a health and wellness precinct but a premiere destination for homeowners to relax, stay fit and socialise poolside,” Mr Walker said.
“Whether you’re looking to tone your body in the gym, swim laps in the 25-metre pool, enjoy a peaceful yoga session in
the fitness studio or relax with a glass of wine and a book poolside, Thyme Pool Club offers it all.
“We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from homeowners and buyers following the opening of
the new multimillion-dollar clubhouse and I expect that to continue with the introduction of the Thyme Pool
Club.
“Without a doubt, we are creating the ultimate lifestyle resort for people over 50 who are seeking to live
in spectacular Hervey Bay.
“We look forward to opening the doors to pool club next year and providing even more opportunities for all
our homeowners to live life to the full.”
