Booral crash leaves woman in critical condition, child hurt
A 44-year-old woman remains in a critical condition after a crash near Hervey Bay as police appeal for witnesses to come forward.

Police are appealing for witnesses, particularly those with dashcam vision, to come forward after a serious crash near Hervey Bay on Tuesday left a woman in a critical condition.
In a statement on Wednesday police confirmed the seriously injured woman was a 44-year-old from Torquay.
Two other passengers in the same car, including a child, suffered minor injuries.
Initial police investigations indicate a white 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer was travelling north along River Heads Road at 3.50pm when it approached the T-intersection of Booral Road.
A collision then occurred with a silver 2012 Toyota HiLux travelling west, the statement read.
The 25-year-old Maryborough man driving the Toyota HiLux was the only person in the vehicle at the time and was not injured.
Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service spokesman said the 44-year-old woman was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a critical condition with head and chest injuries, and was later transferred to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
