Warrego Highway fire: Western Downs emergency crews respond to blaze at Baking Board

Multiple emergency services crews have been called to put out a fire that has ignited off a Western Downs highway.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are working to put out a fire in the Western Downs off a busy highway.

A QFES spokesperson said two fire crews arrived at the scene just before 4pm Monday.

The fire was reported to be off the Warrego Highway in Baking Board, is 300 metres by 200 metres in size and is currently only burning bushland.

The QFES spokesperson said part of the fire had been controlled but crews were still working to put out the fire on the northern side.
