Despite the courageous efforts of bystanders to save her life, a woman has tragically died following a traffic crash in Bowenville.
Emergency services were called to the serious traffic crash involving two vehicles on the Warrego Highway near Bowenville Moola Connection Road at 4.56pm on Friday, a Queensland Police spokeswoman said.
NewsCorp understands bystanders performed CPR for 30 minutes in an attempt to save her life.
One adult and three children were taken to hospital, all in a stable condition.
Motorists have been told to avoid the Warrego Highway at Bowenville as the Forensic Crash Unit investigate, with the Highway closed in both directions.
A detour is in place via Jondaryan.
On Thursday morning, a 29-year-old woman and 12-year-old girl died following another crash in the Toowoomba region.
Initial investigations suggest a truck and SUV collided at Mount Irving just after 10am.
The man who was driving the SUV is fighting for life in hospital.
