Tara woman airlifted to hospital after car crash

A 20-year-old woman was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra in a serious condition after the crash on the Tara Chinchilla Road

Police are investigating a serious single vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Tara yesterday afternoon, September 19.

Emergency services were called to Tara Chinchilla Road at approximately 12:45 pm following reports of a vehicle rollover.

Emergency Services had to work hard to free the driver trapped in the vehicle.

The road was closed for a few hours whilst Forensic Crash Unit investigators and Scenes of Crime from Dalby attended the incident.

A 20-year-old woman from Tara was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

Investigations are continuing as to the cause of the accident.

Police are urging motorist to drive safely over the holiday period.
