Jason Leslie Waldron: Jandowae man pleads guilty to committing public nuisance outside police station

Officers say the former truckie and labourer was so high and drunk when he was arrested, he couldn’t tell them why he was yelling at a police station, asking someone to fight him.

A Jandowae man who yelled at a cop to come out of his police station so he could “f– k [him] up” was so high and drunk he couldn’t tell officers why he was there, a court has heard.

Jason Leslie Waldron stumbled up to Jandowae police station about midnight on September 1, where a policeman observed the 37-year-old yelling at the station.

Dalby Magistrates Court was told Leslie could be heard yelling “come out … you c---, I’ll f– k you up”, and continued to hurl verbal abuse and threats at the building.

Police prosecutor Derek Brady said the 37-year-old was taken to the ground by a police officer.

When asked about his behaviour, Waldron couldn’t talk and appeared to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol, Sergeant Brady said.

A number of wheelie bins had been knocked over in the street, with witnesses later telling police they watched Waldron kick them all over.

Police raided the former truckie and labourer’s home a week later and found nunchucks, a small amount of marijuana, a bong, scissors and a grinder.

Defence solicitor Jessica Hine said her client relocated to Jandowae 18 months ago, and planned to move to Toowoomba in the near future.

Waldron pleaded guilty to public nuisance, possessing utensils, drugs and a restricted item, and was fined $750.

A conviction was recorded.
