A woman was capsicum sprayed after attacking St George police officers

Police will allege a woman was ‘blind rotten drunk’ when she had to be capsicum sprayed after kicking, punching and biting officers in a frenzied attack.

Serious CBD assault

A St George woman who police say was “blind, rotten drunk” when she allegedly kicked, punched and bit officers in a frenzied attack was ultimately capsicum sprayed and taken to hospital.

Police attended the 30-year-old’s home a on August 4, as part of an order that prohibits the woman from being over the 0.05 general alcohol limit.

It is alleged the woman refused to provide a breath sample and became violent with police when they put her under arrest, biting and kicking police and punching a female officer in the head.

Dalby Senior Sergeant Sean Donaghy said police were forced to use capsicum spray on the drunk woman when she continued to violently resist arrest.

The St George woman was transported to hospital as a precaution after being sprayed where she was held overnight and was granted bail the following day.

She was charged with serious assault of police and obstructing police and is due to face St George Magistrate Court on September 13.
