Family of Kellie Holland reach out for help to bring her home after crash claims two lives

The family of a woman killed in a double fatal crash on the Warrego Highway at Drillham has asked for help to bring her home for a funeral on country.

The family of Kellie Holland has reached out for help to bring her body home after she was killed in a horror double fatal crash on the Warrego Highway at Drillham.

Ms Holland was one of two people killed when a black 2010 Holden Colorado and a white 2013 Holden Colorado, both towing trailers collided on the highway about 6.20am on Thursday.

The crash killed Ms Holland instantly, along with 25-year-old Chinchilla man Jack Holt, who was a passenger in the white Colorado.

It also put two men, aged 33 and 49, in the hospital in critical conditions while a 23-year-old Chinchilla man suffered only minor injuries.

Shakarna Holland launched a GoFundMe campaign to her help aunt and uncle bring their daughter’s body back to Miles for a funeral.

“Any donation would be a great help as (Kellie) didn’t have any funeral fund and has been taken to Brisbane, we would like her to be home back in Miles,” Ms Holland said.

“Any help is much appreciated.

“Any funds will go towards funeral proceedings, and possible living expenses that may arise for her immediate family in these next few months of their grieving.”

Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash and anyone with information about it, including dashcam footage of the moments leading up to it, is urged to phone Policelink on 131 444.
