Exposed: Drink, drug and disqualified drivers appear in Dalby Court

Multiple drivers appeared in Dalby Magistrates Court for drink, drug and disqualified driving offences. See the list below:

A number of drink, drug and disqualified drivers appeared in Dalby Magistrates Court this week.

Benjamin Jack Kozak

Benjamin Jack Kozak appeared in Dalby Magistrates Court on November 25 and pleaded guilty to drug driving and driving without a licence.

Kozak was intercepted at 1pm on August 22 along Mary Street, Dalby and police found his licence had been suspended since May.

Police Prosecutor Acting Sergeant Chris Wilson told the court Kozak was detained and transported to the Dalby police station after a positive roadside drug test.

Through a second drug screening Kozak tested positive for cannabis.

He was sentenced to a one month licence suspension for driving without a licence and fined $300.

He was given a three month licence suspension for drug driving and fined $350.

No conviction was recorded.

India Lily James

India Lily James appeared in Dalby Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to drink driving and driving with a disqualified licence by a court order.

The 24-year-old was intercepted by police at 12.50am on October 18 along Arthur Street in Dalby while driving a white Holden Colorado.

James carried a Western Australian licence that was disqualified on May 27, 2025 for previous drink driving charges and claimed to police she was unaware of the suspension.

She blew 0.143 in a roadside breath test.

James’ licence was suspended for three months for drink driving, suspended a further two years for disobeying the court order and fined $750.

No conviction was recorded.

Joseph Victor Wunsch

Joseph Victor Wunsch pleaded guilty to drink driving at Dalby Magistrates Court on November 25.

The 28- year-old was pulled over by police at 1.15am on Yumborra Road in Dalby for a randomised breath test.

Wunsch tested positive at a level of 0.117.

He was sentenced with a three month licence disqualification and fined $650.

No conviction was recorded.

Dion Allan Zellers

Dion Allan Zellers appeared in Dalby Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to one charge of driving without a licence.

The 48-year-old truck driver was pulled over by police at 4.40am, October 31 on Drayton Street for routine traffic matters and was found to be driving without a valid licence.

His licence was suspended on October 26, 2025.

Zellers was fined $350 and his licence was disqualified for one month.

No conviction was recorded.

Shianne Lee Parsons

Shianne Lee Parsons appeared in Dalby Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to driving with a drug present.

The 30-year-old, while on a provisional licence, was pulled over for RBT on the Warrego Highway in Dalby at 8.50am October 25.

She proceeded to test positive for cannabis.

Parsons was fined $450 and her licence was suspended for three months.

No conviction was recorded.

Rowan Albert Ellis

Rowan Ellis pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving at Dalby Magistrates Court.

The 29-year-old was pulled over at 8.50pm on October 18 for routine traffic matters and tested positive at 0.063.

Ellis was fined $350 and issued with a licence disqualification of one month.

No conviction was recorded.

Reuben James Graham 

Graham pleaded guilty to drink driving at Dalby Magistrates Court.

The 19-year-old was pulled over by police for RBT on October 24 at 10.36pm and tested positive at 0.088.

He was fined $500 and his licence was disqualified for one month.

No conviction was recorded.
