Dozens of beautiful babies were nominated in the race for the title of Dalby’s cutest baby, and one adorable bub has been decided as the winner.

Two-month-old Xzavier James Ashelford has been voted by Dalby Herald readers as the town’s cutest baby so far in 2022.

Proud mum Taylah Hoefler said she’d always known her son was beautiful but was shocked by the win.

“He’s pretty special, I’ve always thought he was cute but I didn’t think he would win because I saw how many cute babies were nominated,” she said.

“I’m surprised, but also not at the same time.”

Ms Hoefler said Xzavier started smiling almost straight away and was an overall happy baby that loved everyone.

When discussing her new journey into motherhood, she said it’s been a great experience.

“You hear horror stories about getting no sleep but he’s a really good baby.

“All my family are here so that really helps as well.”

The Dalby mum added that it’d be something very special to tell Xzavier when he is older.

“I’m sure when we tell him, ‘You were voted Dalby’s cutest baby in 2022’ he will think it’s really cool.”
