DALBY'S brightest high school students woke up to some exciting news on the weekend. OP results came out in the early hours of last Saturday, with students smashing out some incredible results.
Of the 141 students at Dalby State High School, 50% of students eligible achieved an OP between 1 and 10.
Principal Dr Dean Russell, is proud of all students and staff and recognised their hard work.
"To see every single student achieve this goal sends a strong message about our school and the wonderful staff and students we have here,” Dr Russell said in a statement.
Dominique Holtkamp was one of three students from the school to achieve an OP of 3, which was the highest mark for the school.
"I was really happy because it meant all of my hard work I had put in over the past two years had paid off,” she said.
Eliza Bradford, from Our Lady of the Southern Cross College, achieved an OP of 4, and hopes to study occupational therapy at the University of Queensland, and will move to Brisbane to start her studies.
"It is really interesting and it just seems really nice helping people in the world,” Eliza said of her dream course.
This is the final year that year 12 students will be receiving an OP. Students commencing year 12 in 2020 will received an ATAR.
