Builders are hard at work and membership numbers are growing as Dalby’s newest gym gets closer to opening day, while ensuring it creates connections within the community by partnering up with other local businesses.
Snap Fitness, which began renovations a few weeks ago, has revealed what residents can expect from the latest gym to hit town.
Snap operations manager Ashleigh Dyson as revealed the equipment, services and features the modern gym will offer, and how the community has been receiving the news.
“In terms of equipment, we have a really wide range to suit all types of people,” she said.
“Whether you’re into functional training or traditional strength training, and if you like to try other training we have fitness groups.”
She said the main factors that members favour is the 24/7 global access, the sauna and crèche.
“Lots of Dalby people travel, whether it’s to Toowoomba or even Kingaroy, so they’ll be able to access (the gyms) at those locations,” she said.
The gym will also offer enough equipment to ensure members have access to them at all times, like eight squat racks and eight platforms.
The operations manager shared why Snap decided to open a gym in Dalby, with franchisee Justin Garvey being a Roma local and enjoying getting “among regional towns”.
“We really like regional communities,” Ms Dyson said.
“They’re generally towns full of people that like to support and help others, we saw Dalby as an opportunity to be part of a growing town.”
To fully embed themselves within the community, Snap has partnered up with other businesses in town for promotional work such as Breeze on Drayton, where Snap members will receive a discount when they attend the health cafe.
“Breeze is in line with wanting to help people achieve a healthier lifestyle,” Ms Dyson said.
She added the gym had recently signed on to sponsor local football club the Dalby Diehards for its upcoming season.
“It shows we actually want to be part of the community and not just be another gym,” she said.
While the gym is still looking for trainers, they said they are close to confirming a club manager, with an expected opening date of March 30.
The new club is located in the former Mitsubishi dealership building, near Coffee Club on Archibald St.
