Burra Burri fire: Fire crews respond to grass fire along Burra Burri Creek Road

A woman was treated at the scene by paramedics after a raging grass fire sparked by an incinerator at a rural Western Downs property.

Multiple crews are on scene after an incinerator reportedly caught fire and spread to grass north of Chinchilla.

Fireys rushed to the reported grass fire about 1pm along Burra Burri Creek Road in Burra Burri Tuesday afternoon, 42 minutes north of Chinchilla.

A Queensland Fire spokeswoman said the initial call came in as an incinerator fire which spread to nearby grassland, with crews wetting down edges of the fire ten minutes after their arrival.

The fire was extinguished at 2.40pm, with fireys making the scene safe.

Paramedics treated a woman for a minor laceration following a fall at the Burra Burri property, but she did not require transport to hospital.
