A bikie turf war is escalating after a gang of Rebels allegedly ambushed a Bandidos associate and shot him in broad daylight at a southeast Queensland shopping centre after months of growing tensions between the two clubs over territory.

A GANG of Rebels bikies allegedly ambushed a Bandidos associate and shot him in broad daylight at a Logan shopping centre after months of growing tensions between the two clubs over territory, police will allege.

Seven alleged members of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang have been remanded in custody over the alleged attack on Beenleigh Bandidos associate Harley Cranston, who was shot in the leg at Logan Hyperdome on Monday.

Ali Toufaili, 22, Fabian Nicholas Nemcek, 27, Faraidon Mansoor, 28, Coltyn Hai Vo, 22, and Michael Fetui, 31, are among seven alleged bikies from the Rebels’ Logan chapter charged over the February 4 shooting.

Some of the eight men arrested following an incident in the car park of the Hyperdome at Loganholme.

They applied for bail in the Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday after each being charged with acts intending to cause grievous bodily harm and affray, but were refused.

Alleged Logan Rebels sergeant-at-arms Lucas James Pain, 30, is accused of pulling the trigger of a .45 calibre handgun and shooting Cranston in the leg.

Pain has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.

Police allege the group went to the shopping centre for a prearranged meeting with Cranston before things got out of hand.

It is understood tensions had been running high between the two clubs, who had been fighting over territory.

Police allege other Rebels members had also allegedly been involved in a violent home invasion at Mango Hill in May last year, as part of the escalating violence.

The court heard Nemcek, who was on bail for attempted murder at the time of the shooting, is also facing drugs and weapons charges.

The October 2018 shooting on the Sunshine Coast allegedly involving Nemcek, was undertaken by the man and several other Logan Rebels, police say.

Nemcek is also alleged to host regular “church nights” at his Greenbank home for the club, The Sunday Mail understands.

Cranston did not attend hospital until two days after being shot in the leg.

He has been charged with going armed to cause fear and appeared in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Thursday after allegedly pulling a machete during the altercation.

The men will return to court on March 4.
