FORMER Queensland State of Origin player Dave Taylor and two other former Gold Coast Titans have been ordered to stand trial on cocaine charges.

France-bound Taylor, Joe Vickery and Jamie Dowling were committed on Thursday to stand trial at the Southport Magistrates Court.

Magistrate Chris Callaghan dismissed cocaine possession and supply charges against four Titans - Greg Bird, Ashley Harrison, Kalifa Faifai Loa and Beau Falloon - citing insufficient evidence.

All seven players were implicated in an alleged drug ring revealed by Queensland's Crime and Corruption Commission.

Code-hopper and Karmichael Hunt was fined $2500 in the Southport Magistrates Court in March after he pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine in September and October last year.

Statements he made to police implicated about a dozen AFL and NRL players.
