Qld floods: More rain forecast for Chinchilla as Western Downs lashed by storms overnight
Western Downs residents are being warned heavy rains could soon cause chaos across the region, as southeast Queensland is again struck by severe flooding that has killed a man and several dogs. FULL DETAILS:

The Western Downs has again been lashed by heavy rain as the Bureau of Meteorology forecasts a further soaking for Chinchilla in coming days.
An average of 20mm and 40mm fell across Chinchilla and surrounding towns in the past 24 hours, with around the same amounts on the cards for Monday.
BOM meteorologist Shane Kennedy said the “worst is over for now”, however the town will likely see a further 5-15 mm on Tuesday before the things start to ease off by Wednesday.
Dalby is on emergency flood alert after a whooping 160mm smashed the town overnight, while just southeast Jandowae copped 162mm of rain.
BOM warns that a coastal trough is expected to lead to heavy rainfall over southeast Queensland on Monday afternoon.
Swift water crews have carried out five rescue missions across the Darling Downs region since about 4am on Monday.
The SES has also received 15 calls for assistance due to the extensive flooding.
The female driver was rescued and taken to hospital in a stable condition, but the man and a number of dogs were found dead inside the vehicle about 8am.
Investigations are ongoing and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
