One teenager is recovering in a Brisbane hospital from serious injuries after he and three others were hurt after the car they were travelling in rolled at Capella near Emerald.

The crash, involving a Holden Rodeo, happened on Malvern Road about 9.44pm Friday.

A Queensland Police Spokeswoman confirmed one teenager involved in the crash was just 14 while the three others were 16.

She could not say which of the teens was driving and whether alcohol or speed was a factor.

One male passenger suffered head and shoulder injuries and was in a serious condition.

Another male passenger was treated for a laceration to his head and was in a stable condition.

Two female patients, one with a leg injury and the other with back pain, were also both in stable conditions.

Investigations into the crash are continuing.

It’s the third serious rollover involving country Queensland teens in the past month.

Five teenagers were taken to hospital after two separate car rollovers four weeks ago.

A male in his late teens was seriously injured after being thrown from a car on Alpha Tambo Road on September 30 and flown to Rockhampton hospital.

Just hours later, at 1.30am on October 1, four more teens were involved in a rollover at Mt Isa.

The group of male and female teens were in a car which flipped on Lake Moondarra Road.

A QAS spokesman said at the time the four were lucky to have only received minor injuries including small cuts, abrasions, and neck pain.

As of Wednesday, November 2, a police spokeswoman said the investigation into the incident was still ongoing no new information could be disclosed.

She did confirm that the driver of the vehicle was under 18 years old and that the car was not stolen, nor were drugs or alcohol contributing factors of the incident.

A spokesperson at the Rockhampton Base Hospital said that on Saturday morning a 16 year old male involved in the incident was taken to a Brisbane hospital for further treatment of head injuries.

The patient was in a serious but stable condition.

The other three teenagers involved in the incident were treated at Emerald Hospital and have since been discharged.
