Emerald residents could soon have a new place to shop, after job advertisements revealed the potential new location of a large Australian brand.

Rivers Australia posted three job ads on Seek last week, searching for staff for a new Emerald store.

The ads were looking for a store manager, casual sales assistant and part time sales assistant with a “passion for fashion” to join the brand.

Rivers, part of the Mosaic Brands group, already has three established Central Queensland stores including at Mackay, Rockhampton and Gladstone.

The brand has offered affordable fashion for the ever-changing Australian lifestyle since 1863.

“We’re about great quality, value and style and we’re committed to delivering this, top to toe for him and her, all at great prices,” the ad read.

Rivers stocks clothing and footwear for women, men and children as well as a range of home and living and outdoor products.

The new store news comes after the retail group announced it would close 250 stores by mid-2021 due to the impacts of Covid-19.
