A five-bedroom home in Emerald has been snapped up for $1.2 million ‘within the hour’ of it being listed for sale.

A five-bedroom home in Emerald has been snapped up for $1.2 million ‘within the hour’ of it being listed for sale - blitzing the days on market average for the rural Central Queensland town.

The property at 10A Andrews Road, Emerald, settled in January through LJ Hooker Emerald, in what was the highest sale for a property of its kind in the past 12 months.

Licensee Brenda Logovik said she had three potential buyers for the home, which was built in 2022.

“It did sell within the hour,” Ms Logovik said.

According to realestate.com.au data, the median days on market for residential properties in Emerald is 78.

She said the home was purchased by an Emerald family.

The home boasts five bedrooms, an office, three bathrooms, double garage, open plan living areas with a galley kitchen and butler pantry and ceramic tiled floors on a 3360 sqm block.

The property also has an extra-large outdoor entertainment area, in-ground swimming pool, lush green lawns with mature shrubs and trees, in-ground watering system, chicken coop and shed.

Ms Logovik said the property was “very well presented” by the previous owners.

“It was facing our eastern side where all our beautiful south east breezes come from overlooking the pool,” she said.

“The living area was very open and spacious with a great view.

“The presentation of the lawns and gardens were in excellent condition.”

She said the high-end of the market in Emerald was starting to change.

“There’s been genuine sales,” she said.

“That shows people do desire the nicer properties.

“After the sale we did get further interest. There is still buyers out there.

“We are looking for any other similar homes if anyone is wanting to sell we would be happy to talk to them.”
