Police find guns, cash and drugs at Emerald hotel and cabin
A man and woman have been remanded in custody after a police raid found guns and drugs in a holiday cabin and hotel.

A man and woman have been charged after guns and drug-related items were allegedly found at two separate short-term accommodation providers earlier this month.
On November 5 police searched a hotel room in Roberts St in Emerald after receiving a tip-off from the public about what they believed was suspicious activity.
During the search police allegedly found and seized a .410 shotgun and a number of other drug-related items.
On November 12 police searched another short-term accommodation unit on Fairbairn Dam Rd in Gindie where they arrested a 22-year-old Clermont man and a 43-year-old Emerald woman.
Detectives and uniformed police searched the holiday cabin, where they found a shortened rifle, ammunition, about $11,000 in cash, and a “substantial quantity” of meth worth about $130,000.
A 22-year-old Clermont man and 43-year-old Emerald woman have been charged with multiple offences, including possessing shortened firearms, authority required to possess explosives, possession of dangerous drugs exceeding schedule 3, supplying dangerous drugs and possessing tainted property.
They were both remanded in custody and are due to reappear in Emerald Magistrates Court on December 19.
