Much loved member of the Clermont community, Lynette Elizabeth Jones, 62, will be escorted to her final resting place by a convoy of V8s - one of the many things she loved.
A Councillor with Isaac Regional Council and dedicated community member, Mrs Jones sadly died on July 4 after a “short but fierce” battle with terminal cancer, her family revealed.
She was the wife of Straw, adored mother of Sara, Ma to Rana and Max and sister to Kristine, Charlie, Robert and their families.
Family, friends and the Clermont community have been invited to attend a graveside funeral service to farewell Mrs Jones at the Clermont Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, her family has asked people to make donations to Montcler Residential Aged Care Home, one of her favourite places to spend time with the residents.
Before the service, locals are encouraged to form a guard of honour in her honour, lining Drummond Street from 9.45am.
Anyone participating is asked to reverse park and stay in vehicles to then fall in behind the procession as it passes.
Anyone attending is also encouraged to wear Mrs Jones’ favourite colour, purple, to the service on Monday, July 12 at 10am.
