The Burnett Christmas Pop-Up Shop has entered its fourth year and organiser Lynette Vicary says it’s one of their best yet.

Held at the Mundubbera Community Hall until Saturday, December 10, there are 39 exhibitors selling goods from jams to photography prints and handmade crafts.

The volunteer-run shop offers a unique opportunity for small and regional businesses to come together and for residents to buy local.

As volunteer for the Central Burnett Landcare organisation Miss Vicary said the 10-day pop-up was six months in the making.

“Exhibitors submit an application form and we barcode all the items that are brought in as it’s one point of sale,” she said.

She said it was welcomed by the community.

“The whole street comes alive, people come from far away, they stay the night and go shopping in the town,” she said.

First-time exhibitor Nicole McGregor of Nicole Jade Photography said she would definitely return.

“It’s a fantastically run event with a group of beautiful, positive volunteers and it's a pleasure to be behind the scenes this year,” she said.
