Farmland has always been the hot ticket for the Burnett, with many of the region’s residents making their livelihood from the land.

KellCo real estate agent Louisa Bambling said the rising trend in pricing for agricultural commodities such as cattle and grain had been reflected in real estate prices of the past 12 months.

With many of the larger property sales coming from established agricultural enterprises looking to expand, she said it came down to the affordability of rural properties.
“Unless you have mum and dad backing you, you can’t just enter the market on a larger rural property so you have to be established or expanding your business,” she said.
Several sales across the region were also family to family, and Mrs Bambling said this was great for agriculture in the region.
“It’s good there is younger interest in the agricultural sector,” she said.

#10: 189 Sehls Road O‘Bil Bil
