It’s no secret the housing market has boomed across Queensland, but these 11 North Burnett bargain homes are on the market for less than $250,000 each.
Monto Cattle and Country real estate agent Louisa Bambling said the market boom across the state has had a positive impact on the Burnett, with more people migrating to regional areas.
She said this explained why housing prices in the Burnett had risen, but said they remained affordable compared to many other parts of the state.
“The majority of our houses in Monto are still under the $250k mark but our average price a few years ago was around $100k,” she said.

She said rental opportunities had gone down, but with population rising this brought more prosperity to the region.
“Most of the people buying now are owner occupiers and affordability is a big thing,” she said.
“It’s very positive for the community, the towns are thriving in comparison to what they were a few years ago.”
