IT'S the property listing that broke the internet - complete with 12 homes on 37 acres, the North Burnett town of Allies Creek was placed on the market in June for a measly $500,000.

Seven days later it was under contract, and it has now been sold to Queensland buyers who have big plans.

"They aren't locals, they are from away, and they're really lovely people,” real estate agent Danielle Meyer said.

"The vendors are happy, the buyers are happy and they're planning on doing something with tourism.”

Just 60km south of Mundubbera, the town is a five-hour drive from Brisbane.

The 12 homes on the property are all in good condition, with some recently having undergone renovations, and connected to power and water.

The town also boasts a large community hall with a barbecue area, a helipad, numerous hydrants, large sheds and a tennis court.

Mrs Meyer, who runs Danielle Meyer Rural, said with the amount of attention the listing received in the media, she could have sold the property 200 times over.

"It was a challenge but we did it and it worked in our favour because we got the property sold for the owner,” she said.

"I had the phone ringing at 10 o'clock at night and some days we had over 100 phone calls per day from people interested in the property, even from overseas.”

Although there was a pool of buyers to choose from, Mrs Meyer said the successful buyers really appreciated the magic of Allies Creek.

"They loved the potential and they loved that there is so much serenity and peace out there,” she said.

"They knew that people from the city would love coming and sharing the tranquillity that we get in the North Burnett, that you can't get in the city.”

With the property being on the market for three years, Mrs Meyer said it felt great to get a contract for the owner within a week of having it listed with Danielle Meyer Rural.

"It felt good, it was lovely to be able to see the vendor so happy,” Mrs Meyer said.

Natali Williams originally put the town on the market for $2.1M in 2015 after her husband Lyle passed away.

Mrs Williams and her husband bought the town with plans to turn it into a caravan park.

"I don't know what Natali's plans are now but I know she is happy and ready to move on with her life.”
