Lucky escape after car hits cow on rural road in North Burnett

The driver of a vehicle and its occupants were lucky to escape injury after a car struck a cow on a rural road in the North Burnett.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Monto-Mount Perry Road, Yarrol at about 2.35pm on Saturday afternoon.

Paramedics assessed one patient at the scene but no injury was reported and they declined transport to hospital.

According to a Queensland Police Media spokeswoman, the cow was badly injured.
