Gayndah woman taken to hospital following snake bite
A Gayndah woman is in a serious condition after being bitten by an eastern brown.

A Gayndah woman in her 50s was rushed to the Gayndah Hospital late Monday afternoon following a snake bite.
Queensland Ambulance Service arrived at a private residence in the Central Burnett following a call at 7:04pm.
The woman was bitten on the foot by a suspected eastern brown snake and transported in a serious condition to the hospital.
She has since been transported to Bundaberg hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition.
The eastern brown is the second most deadly snake in the world, and warmer weather coupled with spreading residential spaces have already seen a rise in snake numbers across the region.
