DANCE: When the curtain rises and all of her students are together on stage opening their end of year concert, it gives Laura Kronk chills.

It's the moment that 12 months of hard work and hours of practise come to fruition, and family and friends are there to see it all.

"From the 18-month students right through to my 17-year-olds, they're all standing on stage together and it's really exciting,” Miss Laura said.

"It's definitely fun for all ages and people will be entertained whether they are three or 93.”

Dancers from Gayndah, Mundubbera, Biggenden and Eidsvold will take to the stage for two concerts - one in Gayndah on November 17 and one in Mundubbera on November 24.

Students will showcase their talents in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop, musical theatre and acrobatics.

"Throughout the year the students learn new skills of their different genres and every year they progress a level within that,” Miss Laura said.

"During Term 3 we culminate those skills into a dance and they get to perform them at the end of the year.”

The concert is named The Greatest Show and will take the audience through many of the hit songs from the popular film The Greatest Showmanas well as other hits from the '70s until now including Coldplay, Aladdin and songs that featured at the Commonwealth Games.

"We try to draw inspiration from what the girls and boys have done throughout the year,” Miss Laura said.

"I'm very fortunate to have a second teacher Miss Charli Hartwig who has been a really great help in planning the concert as well as 20 amazing students teachers who get my vision early and help during the classes which is excellence.

"I also have an amazing husband who MC's for me and I honestly couldn't put this together without him.”

Less than 100 tickets are left to the Gayndah show and abuout 150 tickets are left for the Mundubbera show. Tickets can be booked online through the event pages created by Miss Laura's School of Dance.
