THIS morning 10 Brahman cows were auctioned at the Biggenden Saleyards with all proceeds being donated to help those affected by the north-west flood.

The Hazelton Brahmans cows donated by Brett Kirk and family sold for 254.2c/kg or $1569/hd. The total of $15,690 will now be donated to the QCWA Public Rural Crisis Fund.

Thank you to the Kirk family, this has kept the conversation open about how to contribute, even small donations are valuable.

Other cattle were donated at today's sale bringing today's donation to just under $20,000.

For anyone interested in supporting the cause the QCWA Public Rural Crisis Fund is a fund that assists families in both flood and drought affected areas of Queensland.
