Bureau warns of flash flooding as storms bring heavy rain to interior
A severe storm warning for parts of southern Queensland has been cancelled, but parts of the state remain on flood watch.

The Bureau of Meteorology has cancelled severe storm warnings for southern Queensland, but is continuing to monitor the situation.
Earlier, parts of the Ipswich, Scenic Rim and Lockyer Valley council areas were issued a severe thunderstorm warning, with heavy rain and flash flooding forecast.
Tarome in the Scenic Rim received 85mm of rain in the hour to 6.09pm
Earlier, the Bureau issued a warning for The Scenic Rim, Southern Downs and Toowoomba.
Campbells Gully, located just north of Warwick received a whopping 53mm of rainfall in the hour to 4.30pm.
Storm King Dam in the southern Darling Downs recorded 44mm of rain in the hour to 1.45pm.
A trough lying through the interior of the state has triggered the slow-moving storms on Wednesday afternoon.
The warnings came after a brief reprieve from wet weather which brought a record-breaking November and fatal flooding in December.
Elsewhere in the state, flood warnings remain in force for the Balonne River (major), Weir River (moderate), Thomson and Warrego rivers (final).
