Woman fighting for life after horror motorcycle crash at Bucca

More details have emerged after a woman was left fighting for life in the Bundaberg region after two motorcycles collided.

Police are investigating after a woman was left critically injured when two motorcycles were involved in a crash in the Bucca region on Saturday, August 3.

The woman was airlifted with life threatening head injuries to the Royal Brisbane Hospital by the Bundaberg LifeFlight crew.

The chopper was tasked to the scene about 12.30pm that day and landed in a nearby paddock.

It is believed the woman was riding with a group of friends when the crash happened.

A police spokeswoman said about 12.06pm a 2001 Yamaha v-max 1200 motorcycle being ridden by a 56-year-old Forest Lake man and a red Honda CBR650 motorbike, being ridden by a 53-year-old Kepnock woman were involved in a collision on Bucca Road.

The male rider sustained minor injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
