Tributes flow for miner Dylan Langridge
Family, friends and the wider community have shared their touching tributes to Bundaberg miner Dylan Langridge following the Dugald River Mine accident which claimed his life, and the life of Trevor Davis.

Tributes have poured from family, friends and the community after the heartbreaking news that missing miners Dylan Langridge and Trevor Davis were confirmed dead on Thursday evening.
The miners had been missing since Wednesday following an unexpected accident resulting in a drilling rig and the car they were in falling down a stope void at the underground Dugald River mine, north-west of Cloncurry.
Rescue crews uncovered the vehicle on Thursday, but in a heartbreaking turn of events the men were unable to be recovered alive.
Mr Langridge’s partner, Hervey Bay woman Sinead Deakin, updated her Facebook profile picture following the tragic news to include joyous images of her and Mr Langridge smiling happily together.
Touching tributes poured in as friends and family became aware of the devastating news.
“He loves you baby, look at the way he looks at you,” one friend commented.
“U (sic) both had your whole future ahead of use (sic) he will forever be up there guiding u (sic).”
Mr Langridge’s brother James Langridge updated his own Facebook profile, to include a picture of himself and his brother both smiling happily.
He also changed his cover photo to a tribute photo to fallen miners everywhere, an image which is being shared openly online as the wider mining community struggles with the loss of the two young men.
Friends of James shared their messages of support, with one saying, “Brother the picture paints a million words again sorry for your situation”.
Alex McAntee, a close friend of the fallen miner shared his own heartfelt words:
“I do not know where fallen miners go to rest but I’m certain wherever it is, you’re there smashing cans, flying round in the troopy with ur (sic) old boy and scoping out all the best camping spots,” he said.
“Rest easy brother ur shift is over.”
