Tributes flow for Bundaberg teen Illiana Palella following tragic Goodwood Rd crash
Friends of a Bundaberg teenager are remembering her as a “loyal, caring and bubbly” person following her tragic death in a car crash near Childers.

Tributes are flowing for Illiana Palella after the 17-year-old’s tragic death following a horror crash on Goodwood Road on Tuesday.
A fundraiser has been launched by friends to help support Ms Palella’s family.
Mackenzie Blackburn, who created the fundraiser, described Ms Palella as a “vibrant” girl and a “beautiful friend of many”.
“Whether it be her colleagues, friends or strangers, everyone knew that she could put a smile on anybody’s face,” she said.
“She comes from a hardworking, caring, and supportive family who were there with her through everything.”
As of midday on Thursday the page had received more than $3000 in donations towards a goal of $20,000.
Ms Blackburn met Ms Palella at work at Woolworths Hinkler Centre where they immediately hit it off.
“We instantly clicked, we were pretty close friends after hanging out just a couple of times,” Ms Blackburn said.
“I was able to tell her anything, she told me pretty much everything as well.
“She was a really lovely friend, she was really comforting, she was there for you a lot.
“Her close friends were really valuable to her.
“She‘s loved by her family, she’s good family person.”
Another friend, Riylee Sutton, remembered Ms Palella as a “shy, sweet girl”.
“She was adventurous. She would never leave your side, and was loyal, caring and bubbly,” Ms Sutton said.
“She could talk to anyone, she was liked by everyone and easy to get along with.”
Julie Crosbie, the mother of one of Ms Palella’s close friends, has fond memories of her from a recent trip to Agnes Water.
“She was kind, polite and funny, joking around, just loving life, ” she said.
Jaime Shipp was among many to share touching words on social media.
“I’m going to miss you so much can’t believe that u (sic) won’t be coming home rest easy my beautiful girl,” Ms Shipp wrote in a Facebook post.
A Woolworths Hinkler spokesman said they arranged counselling for Ms Palella’s friends and co-workers who worked with her at the store
Ms Palella’s family confirmed her tragic passing in messages to friends and family on Wednesday afternoon.
Ms Palella suffered critical injuries in the collision between an armoured vehicle and a car near Childers on Tuesday, and was flown to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital from the scene of the crash.
