OPPOSITION sides could be forgiven for seeing double when the Bundaberg Junior Rugby League season kicks off on Sunday week, with six sets of twins in the Waves Tigers club.
Club president Steve Dickinson said three pairs of twins would be in action, with Ben and Jesse Marschke in under-15, Brayden and Reegyn Silis in U-14, Bradley and Kimberley Pearce in U-14 and U-16 girls respectively, and Cooper and Lachlan Peebles in U-13.
The season had been set to start this Sunday but it was put back a week yesterday because of the water-logged fields.
Mini-Mod starts on April 14, when Jayden and Brenton Wilson will line up in U-10 and Brock and Bryce Daniel in U-8.
Dickson said they had been dubbed the "Tiger Twins".
Their 11 teams were ready to roar in their new jerseys, with the club reverting to Tigers.
The club still needs more in U-8, U-12 and U-16 boys and girls.
Anyone interested can phone Dickinson on 0417 192 058.
There are six U-16 teams, three from Bundaberg, Waves, Easts and Wests, and three from Fraser Coast, Maryborough Brothers/Rovers, Wallaroos and Hervey Bay.
There are seven in U-15 with the addition of Bundaberg Brothers but only five in U-14 and 13, where there are two Brothers' teams.
