A Facebook post from the town of Gin Gin has gone viral in just 18 hours.
Queensland Health shared an image of ‘Paramedic Mel’ who has taken it upon herself to make and donate hundreds of attractive, reusable face masks to the Gin Gin community.
“In an effort to take some pressure off people struggling during the pandemic, she sewed over 500 reversible and washable masks,” the post read.
“All in an array of colours and patterns, avid sewer Mel was inspired by scrap fabric laying around the house.”
The post amassed more than 14,000 comments, nearly 600 comments and 264 shares in just 18 hours.
