A silent auction will be held as the North Burnett Regional Council looks to offload five of its properties.
Gayndah Real Estate is running the auction with the properties to be sold as is, with no warranties on the sales offered by the council.
The sale comes as the council assess their property needs with the houses sold once used by regional councillors.
CEO of the council Margot Stork said the choice to sell through a real estate as opposed to a public auction gave the council a chance to explore new ways of sale.
“The comes from a review from council where it requires properties and they are mainly houses for accommodating council workers,” she said.
The council assessed the ages of the homes, as well as the needs of the council to come to their final decision on what homes should be sold.
“It’s also fabulous to be able to use local agents,” Mrs Stork said.
Gayndah Real Estate agent Joanne Dowling said there has already been a number of inquiries.
The properties will be sold via silent auction, with tenders open for purchase and inspections by appointment from Friday, October 21.
A second round of inspections will take place on Saturday, October 29, with final offers to be submitted by November 4, 2022.
The sales come on the back of the public auction of nine properties to be sold by the council in a last ditch bid to reclaim unpaid rates.
