SUNSHINE Coast property agent Mark McGill has been highlighted as an industry trailblazer after he picked up a perfect score and national award at the realestate.com.au AREAs.

The awards showcase the game changers in the property industry on a national level with Mr McGill taking out the prestigious award for excellence in customer service at the Melbourne awards last week.

Mr McGill, a former architect who is about to reach the milestone of a decade in real estate said it couldn't have happened at a better time.

"It's a great feeling to achieve this level of success after ten years in the business," Mr McGill said.

"There's no slowing down, after achieving this level of recognition I plan to continue delivering Australia's highest rated customer service to sellers and buyers on the Sunshine Coast and surrounds for many years to come.

"Without sounding cliche, an award like this can't be won alone, it's a team effort and I'm grateful for the opportunities to work with clients, especially those who have bought, sold or referred to me more than once."

According to the judges, Mr McGill is one of very few nominees to have been given a perfect score.

"It's very rare for us to hand out a perfect score…from all submissions, there was nothing in here that was repeated by your competitors, you're a standout for sure." AREAs Judging Panel said.

With two REIQ salesperson of the year awards under his belt, the latest addition has inspired Mr McGill to stay above the bar as he approaches his 10th anniversary.

In his highly detailed application, Mr McGill outlined his strategy for increasing the number of repeat clients.

"My repeat client retention is very strong. A month after settlement I have dinner with buyers and sellers so they can meet each other and swap stories on their times with the properties," he said.

"Every six months I host a dinner where I share wines from my private cellar with guests. Many of my clients know I collect wine so this is an opportunity to share my collection with them."
