Man accused of brutal assaults and public nuisance fronts court

A Bundaberg man has appeared in court charged with two brutal assaults and public nuisance near a pub, with CCTV footage potentially capturing the alleged incidents.

A Bundaberg man accused of two brutal assaults and being a public nuisance near a pub fronted court on Friday.

Jensen Cooper Deamer is charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm and public nuisance in or near a licensed premises.

Lawyer Darryl Benson requested a brief of evidence be ordered and the matter be adjourned to early next year.

Magistrate John McInnes questioned a disc that was attached to Mr Deamers’ file, which Mr Benson believed was various clips of CCTV footage from the alleged incidents.

Mr McInnes adjourned the matter to February 13, 2026 for further mention, ordering the brief of evidence to be produced by the prosecution by then.

Mr Deamers’ bail was enlarged and no pleas were entered.
