A man facing assault charges has had his court proceedings delayed as the defence awaits footage of the alleged incidents.

Reghan William Jaymon Fischer was represented by defence solicitor Matt Messenger in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday morning.

He faces two assault charges – one common assault and one assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed/in company.

Police prosecutor Donna Sperling told the court the matter had been in court for an extended period now, totalling six months.

Mr Messenger noted the delays were caused by the issues in getting footage of the alleged assaults and requested a further adjournment date to next year.

Magistrate John McInnes adjourned Fischer’s matter to January 30, 2026 and his bail was enlarged.

No pleas were entered.
