A Bundaberg woman, who crashed a car after drinking at a popular night spot, has faced court.

Police call drink drivers "selfish pricks"

A Bundaberg woman will have to pay a $700 fine after a night out at the Central ended in a crashed car.

Appearing in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Thursday, Honey Kim Richardson pleaded guilty to one count of driving over the middle alcohol limit but not but not over the high limit and attempting to put a car in motion.

The incident happened on September 12 when Richardson crashed her grey Nissan X-Trail into a tree on Avoca Road.

The crashed car was found on the side of the road and when police visited Richardson, she admitted she had been drinking at Club Central and that she had been the driver at the car at the time of the incident.

Police described Richardson as “visibly intoxicated”. She returned a BAC of 0.119.

Richardson was fined $700, deferred to SPER, and disqualified from driving for a period of six months.
