Bundaberg police reveal crime rates, images of people they want to speak to

As the most common type of crime in the most recent quarter is revealed, police have released a number of photos of people they believe could help with investigations into various crimes around Bundaberg.

Police in the Bundaberg region have been kept busy investigating a range of crimes.

Drug associate’s violent offending 

In the most recent quarter, theft made up the vast majority of crimes reported in the local government area.

A total of 511 thefts were recorded in Bundaberg, a number higher than that of traffic and drug offences combined.

Repeat drug driver faces court

Police recorded 281 traffic offences, 225 drug offences, 198 assaults and 196 good order offences.

Unlawful entry, unlawful use of a vehicle, fraud and weapons offences all rated but in lower numbers.

Investigations into a shoplifting incident on Takalvan St, Avoca, has led police to believing the person pictured could help.

The incident happened at 1pm on Thursday, October 13.

Goods were unlawfully taken away from a Quay St, Bundaberg Central store, according to police.

Officers say it happened at 4.06pm on Monday, October 24, 2022 and they believe the person pictured could help with investigations.
