Police are appealing to members of the community who live near local schools to look out for any suspicious behaviour in the area after several schools reported crimes in the past week.

Between August 11 and August 15, four schools in the Bundaberg region were broken into.

Library louvres were damaged, a brick and rocks were thrown through windows and, in one incident, furniture was thrown from a roof.

Several property items were also stolen from a shed including tools, a ride-on mower, a whipper snipper, two 20L fuel tanks and a 5L fuel tank full of unleaded fuel.

Police are investigating the incidents and appealing for anyone with information in relation to the matters to contact them.

Alternately if you would like to report suspicious behaviour in schools, call School Watch on 13 17 88.
