They say when you've gotta go, you’ve gotta go. But why would anyone need to steal an entire port-a-loo?

It’s just one of the strange items that have gone missing around Bundaberg in recent weeks.

According to latest police data, theft is the one crime that has gone up.

In May 2022, there were 80 cases of theft recorded in the local government area of Bundaberg, with 88 in June 2022.

Police are hoping members of the public can help locate the following items.

Toilet on a trailer

Police say thieves must have been “busting to go” when they took a portable toilet mounted on a trailer, similar to the one pictured above.

“We have heard about toilet paper shortages… but now loos?” a police statement read.

The item was taken from a work site on Birthamba Rd, South Kolan, sometime between 4.43pm on Wednesday, June 20, and 6.15am on Thursday, July 21.

The toilet was attached to a 2007 single axle trailer with Queensland registration CK9676 and a distinctive ‘Craft Hire’ logo.

“Police aren’t flushed with leads but are keen to get to the bottom of this one and request anyone with information on this dunny to drop us a line,” police said.
