A man accused of an arson that destroyed a significant part of a Bundaberg home will face court once again in the new year.
Quoc Bao Duong‘s case was mentioned in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Thursday last week, where it was heard the matter will go to its next mention in the beginning of 2023.
Mr Duong, 42, is accused of one count each of arson (domestic violence offence) and attempted arson (domestic violence offence).
Police allege Mr Duong set fire to a double-storey Walker St home on the evening of November 2 this year.
The charge of attempted arson relates to an incident where Mr Duong allegedly set fire to a mattress hours before setting the house alight.
Multiple fire crews were tasked with containing the blaze, which they said tore through the property‘s ground floor.
No one was injured in the fire.
Mr Duong remains in custody.
