A Queensland teenager is in police custody charged with a string of offences after allegedly stealing a car and injuring a 76-year-old woman.

A 15-year-old boy is in police custody after allegedly crashing into another vehicle with a stolen car and injuring a 76-year-old woman.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said on Saturday the Bundaberg boy allegedly stole a Suzuki Vitara from a property on Swan Drive in Kalkie sometime after 10pm on Thursday, January 25.
The following day around 4.30pm, the boy allegedly drove the stolen car along Chards Road in the Bundaberg suburb of Avenell Heights, and crashed into a Nissan Almera after failing to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with McCarthy Road.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the driver of the Nissan, a 76-year-old Woongarra woman, was injured in the crash and was taken to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
Police allege the boy fled the scene on foot, before returning a short time later and being taken into police custody.
The boy has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling and commit, receiving tainted property, unlawful use of motor vehicle, stealing, driving unlicensed, drive without due care and attention, driver fail to remain at incident and render assistance, and attempted enter dwelling with intent.
He is due to appear at Bundaberg Children’s Court on Tuesday, January 30.
